Terms and conditions for booking Bombana 1 or Bombana 2

You book with PT Komodo Explorer Indonesia, NIB 1805260128363. A 50 percent deposit holds the date and the balance is due 30 days before sailing. Refunds follow the table below, the route follows the weather and sea, and Indonesian law applies to every booking.
Who you book with
Your contract is with PT Komodo Explorer Indonesia (KEXI), NIB 1805260128363, which sells trips on Bombana 1 and Bombana 2 and operates from Labuan Bajo. We confirm every booking in writing, and that confirmation lists the boat, the dates, the cabin or the whole boat, and the fare.
These are KEXI's own booking terms. They apply to every trip we sell on both boats. For the steps before payment, read how to book.
Deposit, balance, payment
A deposit of 50 percent holds your cabin or your charter date. The balance is due 30 days before departure. The table shows both, with the payment methods and the fee that applies to PayPal. Prices are in rupiah, and fares include 11 percent VAT, shown on the quote.
Park fees are paid separately, in your own name, and are not in the deposit.

Changing or cancelling
The table gives the refund share for each notice period. A date change is free 30 or more days before departure, costs IDR 500,000 from 14 to 29 days before, and inside 14 days counts as a cancellation under the table. Children aged 0 to 2 travel free with a parent or guardian, and from age 3 they pay the full fare.
We strongly advise travel insurance that covers cancellation, medical evacuation and belongings. Insurance is your own arrangement, and we don't sell it.

If we cancel, you are refunded 100 percent · Refunds are paid within 14 days.
When Bombana stays in port
If Bombana 1 or Bombana 2 cannot sail on your date because of a fault, we offer a phinisi of equal or higher class on the same date at no extra cost, or a full refund within 14 days. You choose.
That promise covers a boat that cannot go. It does not cover your own delay or a missed flight.
Weather and the route
The itinerary is a plan. Weather, sea state, volcanic activity or an instruction from the harbour master or the park office can change the order of stops or drop one. The captain decides on safety grounds, and safety comes before the schedule.
Closures arrive at a day's notice, for example Komodo and Padar from 6 to 8 August 2026. We tell you as soon as we know, and we aim to replace a closed stop with another in the park.
Law and complaints
Indonesian law governs these terms, including the Commercial Code and maritime standards, and disputes go to the Indonesian courts. Conduct that endangers the boat, the crew or the park can end the trip without a refund.
A complaint is best raised on the trip, so we can fix it while it matters, and then in writing to info@komodoexplorer.com. Data questions go through the privacy page, and everything else through the contact page.

How much is the deposit?
50 percent of the fare, paid to hold your cabin or your charter date. The balance is due 30 days before you sail. The written quote shows both amounts in rupiah.
What do I get back if I cancel?
It depends on how early you tell us. The cancellation table on this page gives the refund share for each notice period. Insurance for cancellation is a separate arrangement of your own, and we advise it.
Can I move my date?
Yes, where the boat has space on the new date. A change is free 30 or more days before departure, costs IDR 500,000 from 14 to 29 days before, and inside 14 days counts as a cancellation. Ask early, because open-trip dates are Monday and Friday and fill in season.
Who decides if the weather is too bad?
The captain, backed by the harbour master's weather check before each sailing permit. Safety comes first, and stops can be reordered or dropped. If a stop closes, we try to replace it inside the park.
