Bombana 1 or Bombana 2 comes down to three facts. Bombana 1 takes up to 15 guests and opens at IDR 2,950,000 (≈ USD 181) per person. Bombana 2 takes up to 13, opens at IDR 4,250,000 (≈ USD 261), and holds the bathtub master cabin. The route and the Monday and Friday dates are identical.

Pick by group size
Bombana 1 takes up to 15 guests. Bombana 2 takes up to 13. A group of 14 or 15 has no choice to make. It's Bombana 1.
The whole-boat bands follow the same split. Bombana 1 has bands for 1 to 8, 9 to 12 and 13 to 15 guests. Bombana 2 has bands for 1 to 4, 5 to 7, 8 to 10 and 11 to 13.
A 3-day charter for a small party starts at IDR 39,000,000 (≈ USD 2,393) on Bombana 1 for up to 8, and at IDR 55,750,000 (≈ USD 3,420) on Bombana 2 for up to 4. For a party of 6, Bombana 1 comes to IDR 6,500,000 (≈ USD 399) each and Bombana 2 to IDR 9,960,000 (≈ USD 611) each.

Pick by cabin
The master cabin with a bathtub and a balcony is on Bombana 2. It has a king bed, an ensuite bathroom, air conditioning and a water heater. No other cabin on either boat has a bathtub.
Bombana 1 has a Master Cabin too, on the upper deck, with a double bed and a private bathroom. It has no bathtub, and its fare is on request, as it is for Bombana 1's Private Cabin with Balcony.
Every Bombana 2 cabin has a water heater. Bombana 1 has a private bathroom in each of its 5 cabins.
Bombana 2 also has a canoe, a paddle board and a round tub (jacuzzi) at the bow. Bombana 1 has a sun deck with bean bags and semi-outdoor dining. Both have a karaoke set.

What is the same
Plenty is the same, so let's be clear about it. Both boats sail the same printed route: Kelor, Manjarite and Kalong at sunset on day 1, then Padar, Pink Beach, Komodo, Taka Makassar and Manta Point on day 2, then Siaba or Sebayur on day 3.
They leave on Monday & Friday, with the meeting point in Labuan Bajo by 10:00. Booking terms match too: a 50 percent deposit, the balance 30 days before departure, the park ticket paid separately.
If either can't sail on your date, we offer a phinisi of equal or higher standard on the same date or a full refund. One promise, covering both.
Both give you snorkel masks, and neither promises fins.

Each boat has 5 cabins. Bombana 1 takes up to 15 guests and Bombana 2 takes up to 13. Every Bombana 2 cabin is ensuite, and Bombana 1 prints a private bathroom for each of its cabins. Larger parties should start with Bombana 1.
Which boat is better for a group of friends?

Do the two boats differ in what the 3-day trip offers?
The printed route, days and meals are the same. The boats differ in cabins, fares and guest limits: Bombana 2 has the bathtub master cabin, a bow tub, a canoe and a paddle board, while Bombana 1 has the lower fare and the larger group. Pick by those, not by the route.
Can I book one cabin on either boat, or only the whole boat?
One cabin, or a bed in a sharing cabin, on the Monday & Friday open trips. Or the whole boat on a private charter. Private cabins need at least 2 guests. Sharing cabins are shared with other guests exactly as listed, and the whole-boat prices are on the charter page.
