Comfort on Bombana 2: the master cabin with bathtub, balcony and king bed

The Master Cabin is on the upper deck of Bombana 2. You get a king bed, a bathtub beside the bed, a private balcony, an ensuite bathroom, air conditioning and a water heater. An extra bed is available for a third guest.

From the rail. In the photos the bathtub sits next to the bed with a window to the sea. The balcony door has a porthole beside it, and a chair outside.

That's the cabin, and it is the only one of its kind on either boat. Bombana 1 has a Master Cabin of its own, with a double bed and a private bathroom, but its fare is quoted on request and no bathtub is listed.

All fares are per person for the 3-day, 2-night open trip. On Bombana 2 the master cabin is IDR 6,950,000 (≈ USD 426). The Private Cabin with Balcony is IDR 5,950,000 (≈ USD 365), the Private Cabin on the main deck is IDR 5,250,000 (≈ USD 322), and a bed in a sharing cabin is IDR 4,250,000 (≈ USD 261).

On Bombana 1 the private cabin is IDR 3,600,000 (≈ USD 221). Private cabins on both boats need at least 2 guests. The park ticket is never in a fare.

It depends on what you do with a cabin. Most of the day is on deck, on a trail or in the water. Day 2 begins before sunrise at Padar. You will be in the cabin to sleep, shower and change, and on a three-day trip that is a few hours of each day.

Every Bombana 2 cabin is ensuite with air conditioning and a water heater. So the extra for the master cabin buys the bathtub, the balcony, the king bed and the upper deck. If those matter to you, it is the right cabin. If they don't, the cheaper cabins are fine.
