Aboard Bombana 2, deck by deck: master cabin, bow tub and the rooms below
Updated 23 October 2026
Bombana 2 has 5 cabins on three decks for up to 13 guests. The master cabin with its bathtub and balcony and a second balcony cabin are upstairs, a private and a sharing cabin on the main deck, a sharing cabin below. Up front are a round bow tub and a covered lounge.
How I went through this boat
I'm Jewel, the boat inspector at PT Komodo Explorer Indonesia (KEXI). In this note I walk through Bombana 2's inspection photos from the top deck down, in the order you'd come across the rooms.
The boat is 22.6 metres long with 5 cabins, every one with a private bathroom, air conditioning and a water heater.
Upper deck: the master cabin and the balcony cabin
The master cabin has a king-size bed, and an extra bed can be added. It also has a bathtub and a balcony. In the pictures the tub is built into a wooden surround right beside the bed, on the sea side, with a tap on its rim and glass doors next to it. You can see the sea through the glass.
The headboard wall is pale, with a cluster of round woven discs above the pillows and carved wooden panels on either side. The balcony door opens to a narrow rail-edged strip with one chair and a small stool. The ensuite has a black rain shower on a rail with a hand shower, white wall tiles and a dark grey tiled floor.
Next door is the private cabin with a balcony, a queen bed with a woven rosette behind the pillows. Its balcony is shallow: two white moulded chairs and a stool, and not much room for anything else. The bathroom has a rain shower, hand shower and a spray hose beside the toilet.
Open-trip fares per person: master IDR 6,950,000 (≈ USD 426), balcony cabin IDR 5,950,000 (≈ USD 365). A private cabin needs two guests.
Main deck: a private cabin and a sharing cabin
The main-deck private cabin has a queen bed and, in the pictures, a window over the headboard with grey blinds and teal-blue cushions on the bed. Teal woven discs hang on the wall. A set of teak steps rises beside the bed, and the picture does not show where they lead. The shower has a hand shower on a rail and a soap dispenser. Fare: IDR 5,250,000 (≈ USD 322) per person, two guests minimum.
The main-deck sharing cabin sleeps four. In the pictures it has a wooden ladder beside the beds, a wall-mounted air conditioner high up, a round woven mirror and a window above the beds. Sharing cabins are arranged with you at booking. Seat fare: IDR 4,250,000 (≈ USD 261) per person.
Lower deck: the sharing cabin
The lowest cabin is the plainest, and the pictures don't hide it. Two beds sit side by side under a framed pair of leaf prints on a marble-effect wall, with a zig-zag runner across each in red, teal and yellow. One bed is visibly wider than the other.
The floor is light wood. A small round porthole shows at the head of one bed, and a small square window sits high on the wall. An air conditioner and a woven mirror share one wall, and a bench with a cushion and a small bin fills the corner.
Nothing here comes close to the upper-deck windows. If daylight in the room matters most to you, this isn't your cabin.
The seat fare is the same as on the main deck: IDR 4,250,000 (≈ USD 261) per person. For three people who know each other, a queen plus a single works well, and that's who I'd point to it.
Bow tub, lounge, dining and sun deck
The round tub at the bow is set into teak decking and ringed with a wooden collar. In the pictures it has two grey headrests and small jets around the inside. It is the bow jacuzzi, shared by the guests on board.
Behind the tub, a white canopy on wooden posts shades a long teak table with cushioned benches on both sides. Orange life rings hang at the rails.
Indoors there is a second table: teak, with benches in tan, and cushions in blue, pink and grey. Wooden double doors, windows on both sides and a wall-mounted screen finish the room. It is the indoor dining room, and karaoke is included.
Higher up, a curved daybed with a grey cushion sits under the canopy. At the very top, the sun deck is a wide bare white deck with white railings and the mast rising from it. The boat also carries a canoe and a paddle board.
Which cabin for whom
Bombana 2 takes up to 13 guests. If a cabin picture decides your booking, ask us for a recent one.
So which cabin for whom? Two people who want the bath and a balcony: the master. Two people who want a balcony and a lower fare: the balcony cabin. A group of friends sharing a bed each: the sharing cabins. Compare Bombana 1 and Bombana 2 if group size decides it, see the cabins page for each room, and the charter page for the whole boat.

Yes. A round jacuzzi is set into the teak deck at the bow, shared by the guests on board.
