Bombana Sailing Komodo
Komodo National Park fees for a sailing trip
Updated 23 October 2026
Komodo National Park fees are never in a Bombana fare. Foreign visitors pay IDR 250,000 per person per day, and Indonesian citizens pay IDR 50,000 on weekdays or IDR 75,000 at weekends, under PP 36/2024. You pay in your own name, and ranger and pier levies come on top.
Who pays what
The table prints the rates from regulation PP 36/2024, last verified on 10 October 2026. A foreign visitor pays IDR 250,000 per person per day, every day of the week. An Indonesian citizen pays IDR 50,000 on weekdays and IDR 75,000 at weekends and on public holidays.
Notice the words per day. The fee is charged for each day you are in the park, so a longer route costs more. A daily visitor cap has applied in the park since 1 April 2026, covering Padar, Komodo and nearby dive sites, and we check the current cap when we register your group.
Short version: pay the park what the park asks, once, in your own name, and keep the confirmation on your phone for the rangers.
| International visitors | IDR 250,000 per person per day |
| Indonesian visitors | IDR 50,000 per person per day · IDR 75,000 weekends & holidays |
Paid separately, online in your name before the trip; ranger and pier levies are extra and can change. Regulation: PP 36/2024 · Verified 10 October 2026.
Ticket bought by name
A ticket is bought online through SiOra, the park's own system. There is no cash at the gate. Each visitor is registered by name and passport number, and your boat company does the registering. For us that means we ask for your full names and passport details before the sailing date.
Your ticket is separate from the boat fare. It is not in the open-trip fare on Bombana 1 or Bombana 2, and it is not in a private charter. We show it as its own line so you can add the trip up. Any older figure quoted elsewhere is out of date, and we update this page when the park changes its rates.
Fees for a 3-day trip
Our calculator shows park fees for 2, 4 and 10 guests over 1, 2 and 3 days at the foreign rate. Find your group size, then read the row for the number of park days. We confirm how many days your route is registered for, because that count follows your route and the park's own registration.
A 3-day trip runs from Kelor on day 1 to Siaba or Sebayur on day 3, with Padar, Pink Beach, Komodo Island, Taka Makassar and Manta Point on day 2. The figure covers park entry only. Ranger and pier levies sit outside the table, and the next section explains them.
| Guests | Days | International | Indonesian | Indonesian · weekends & holidays |

| 2 | 3 | IDR 1,500,000 | IDR 300,000 | IDR 450,000 |
| 4 | 1 | IDR 1,000,000 | IDR 200,000 | IDR 300,000 |

| 10 | 2 | IDR 5,000,000 | IDR 1,000,000 | IDR 1,500,000 |
| 10 | 3 | IDR 7,500,000 | IDR 1,500,000 | IDR 2,250,000 |
Entry fee only (PP 36/2024). Ranger and pier levies are extra; weekend domestic rate applies on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Verified 10 October 2026.
Ranger and pier levies
Ranger and pier levies are paid separately. We confirm them close to your date. They are not in the table above. Snorkelling is covered by the entry ticket, so there is no extra snorkel ticket to buy.
We tell you the current levies before you travel, so the total is clear before you board. A drone of your own needs a permit on top of the ticket. Ask us before you pack it.
Keep a little cash for these small items and for tips. There are no cash machines on the islands, so draw money in Labuan Bajo before the boat leaves the harbour.
Inside the fare instead
Your fare covers the boat, the cabin, meals, snacks and drinks, pickup and drop-off in the city area and a snorkel mask. The open trip adds a guide and documentation. On a private charter the guide and documentation are quoted on request. The park ticket is in neither.
Open-trip fares start at IDR 2,950,000 (≈ USD 181) on Bombana 1 and IDR 4,250,000 (≈ USD 261) on Bombana 2. The cabins page and the charter page show what each costs.
When you are ready, the booking steps explain what follows. First-timers can read the Indonesia guide as well.
FAQ
Is there a different park fee for Indonesian citizens?
Yes. Indonesian citizens pay IDR 50,000 per person per day on weekdays and IDR 75,000 at weekends and on public holidays. Foreign visitors pay IDR 250,000 every day. The regulation is PP 36/2024, last verified on 10 October 2026.
Who buys the park ticket, me or the boat?
Your boat company registers you on the park's online system, SiOra, and the ticket is in your own name. You pay the park fee separately from the fare. We ask for your full name and passport number before the sailing date.
What do you need from me for the ticket?
Your full name as it appears on your passport, and your passport number, for each foreign visitor. The park registers each visitor by name and passport number, and the name on the ticket must match the passenger list for the boat.
Is snorkelling an extra ticket?
No. The entry ticket covers snorkelling. Ranger and pier levies are separate from it and can change, and they are not part of any Bombana fare. We tell you the current levies before you travel.
