A reunion sailing trip in Komodo: old friends on one boat

Twelve is a good number for a reunion. It fits Bombana 1, which takes up to 15, and it fits Bombana 2, which takes up to 13.

On Bombana 1, 12 friends pay IDR 42,000,000 (≈ USD 2,577) for 3 days and 2 nights, or IDR 3,500,000 (≈ USD 215) each. On Bombana 2 the same group pays IDR 69,750,000 (≈ USD 4,279), or IDR 5,810,000 (≈ USD 356) each. Twelve takes most of Bombana 2, and it leaves room on Bombana 1.

The price is for the boat. Guide and documentation are not included on a private charter, and park tickets are extra. Pickup in the city area, meals, snacks, drinks and masks are in. Birthday, graduation or twenty years on, the sum is the same.

Day 1 starts with the meeting point at 10:00. Twelve people and their bags take longer than two, so arrive early. Then Kelor for a short steep hill, Manjarite for a snorkel, and Kalong for the bats at sunset.

Day 2 is the long one: Padar before sunrise, Pink Beach, the Komodo walk, Taka Makassar and Manta Point. Some in the group will skip the climb, and that is fine. Meet at breakfast and compare notes.

Day 3 is slow. Siaba or Sebayur for a last swim, a last lunch aboard, and Labuan Bajo around midday. Flights home should be after 13:00. The route page has every stop in order.

Bombana 1 and Bombana 2 each list a karaoke set. Plan it for the first evening, after Kalong and dinner, because day 2 starts before dawn.

Bombana 1 gives you a sun deck with bean bags and a semi-outdoor dining area. Bombana 2 gives you a bow lounge with a long teak table under a canopy, an indoor dining table with windows on both sides, and a round tub (jacuzzi) at the bow. A canoe and a paddle board are listed on Bombana 2 only.

Cabins matter more than the deck for twelve. Bombana 2 has 5 ensuite cabins and Bombana 1 has 5 with private bathrooms, so ask us to plan the split before you invite everyone.

Whole-boat dates are agreed with you against the boat's calendar, so a birthday or a long weekend is possible. A 50 percent deposit confirms the date and the balance follows 30 days before departure.

2027 is open for booking. The current rates apply until 2027 rates are published. If a rate changes before your balance is due, we tell you first and you can cancel at no cost.
