Komodo sailing for newlyweds: the master cabin on a small phinisi
Updated 23 October 2026
Newlyweds sailing Komodo take the Master Cabin on Bombana 2: a king bed, a bathtub and a balcony, from IDR 6,950,000 (≈ USD 426) per person on the 3-day open trip. The whole boat for the two of you is IDR 55,750,000 (≈ USD 3,420) for 3 days and 2 nights, with guide and documentation extra.
The master cabin
The Master Cabin on Bombana 2 is on the upper deck. It has a king bed, a bathtub beside the bed, a private balcony, an ensuite bathroom, air conditioning and a water heater. An extra bed is available, which matters if a third person is coming along.
On the open trip the fare is IDR 6,950,000 (≈ USD 426) per person, and the cabin needs 2 guests. Newlyweds can book it on the open trip and share the deck and the table with other guests, while the cabin itself stays theirs.
Our wider notes on couples sit on the couples page. This page covers what matters for newlyweds, and the bathtub is the main thing. Compare it with other cabins on the master cabin page.
Shared deck or whole boat
The open trip leaves on Monday & Friday, and the next date is Friday, 6 November 2026. You sleep in your own cabin and join the others for meals and the deck. Simple.
For the two of you alone, take the whole boat. Bombana 2 for 2 guests costs IDR 55,750,000 (≈ USD 3,420) for 3 days and 2 nights, and Bombana 1 costs IDR 39,000,000 (≈ USD 2,393). Both prices are for the boat, not per person. Guide and documentation are extra on a private charter, and we quote them in writing.
Whole-boat dates are agreed with you against the boat's calendar, so an anniversary or wedding date is possible. Dates on the open trip are fixed. The charter page has the other lengths and group bands.
What to ask for
Cabin or deck decoration and a dinner with a special request are on the services list. They are quoted on request, in writing, and nothing is added to your fare without that quote. Pickup and special requests explains how it works.
Photography is separate. The open trip includes documentation by the crew, a private charter doesn't, and we can quote it. A drone of your own needs a park permit.
The sea decides the mood more than the cabin does. April to June and October to November are the calm months, July and August are windy, and December to March is wet. Day 2 starts before sunrise at Padar and ends at Manta Point. Plan for early nights, and for sore legs.
