Sebayur Island is one half of the day 3 stop, printed as Siaba or Sebayur, on the 3-day sailing trip on Bombana 1 and Bombana 2. It has beaches and reef near Flores, an easy snorkel, and sits outside the dragon area. The boat returns around midday.
Siaba or Sebayur, day 3
Day 3 is breakfast, then the boat heads for Siaba or Sebayur for a snorkel and returns to Labuan Bajo with a last lunch. Ask us which island you get on your date.
Sebayur is an island near Flores. Beaches and nearby reefs make it a snorkelling and beach stop, rated easy with a mild current. A snorkel here runs 45 to 90 minutes.

What it is not: not inside the dragon trekking area
Not inside the dragon area
Sebayur isn't inside the dragon trekking area. You will not meet a ranger or a dragon here, and nobody expects you to, so the whole stop is about water, sand and a slow last morning with the island at your back. The dragon stop is Komodo Island, on day 2.
On the 4-day charter Sebayur has its own slot on day 3, with dinner and free time after Gili Lawa and Siaba. That is a different feel from the 3-day version, where Sebayur is a morning snorkel before the run home. One is an evening to linger in. The other is a last swim.

Mask, timing and the run home
Masks are provided on both boats. Fins are not promised. Reef-safe sunscreen, a hat and a rash guard cover the sun. It is the last snorkel of the trip, so use the time.
Sebayur is between an hour and a half and two hours by boat from Labuan Bajo. The 3-day trip returns around midday, with a last lunch on the way, and flights home should be booked after 13:00, which leaves a margin for the transfer from the harbour to the airport.

Day 3 names Siaba or Sebayur. Ask us on your date which one you get. On the 3-day trip it's the day 3 snorkel before the boat returns to Labuan Bajo around midday.
Is Sebayur inside the dragon trekking area?
No. Sebayur is outside it, so there is no ranger walk and no dragon here. The dragon stop is Komodo Island on day 2, with a park ranger. Sebayur is a beach and snorkel stop, rated easy with a mild current.
How far is Sebayur from Labuan Bajo?
It is between an hour and a half and two hours by boat. On the 3-day trip the boat returns to Labuan Bajo around midday after a last lunch, so book flights home after 13:00.
