Small group sailing trip in Komodo: friends on one boat

Bombana 1 is the boat for a big group. It takes up to 15 guests, with 5 cabins, each with a private bathroom. The whole-boat price steps up in bands of 1 to 8 guests, 9 to 12, and 13 to 15.

Ten friends pay IDR 42,000,000 (≈ USD 2,577) for 3 days and 2 nights, which is IDR 4,200,000 (≈ USD 258) each. A full boat of 15 pays IDR 45,000,000 (≈ USD 2,761), or IDR 3,000,000 (≈ USD 184) each. Put that beside the lowest open-trip fare, IDR 2,950,000 (≈ USD 181), and the gap is small. What you gain is the boat itself: the sun deck with bean bags, the semi-outdoor dining and the karaoke set, with no strangers on any of it.

Guide and documentation are not included on a private charter. Park tickets are extra. Transfers in the city area, meals, snacks, drinks and masks are in.

Bombana 2 takes up to 13 guests and prices in bands of 1 to 4, 5 to 7, 8 to 10 and 11 to 13. Six friends pay IDR 59,750,000 (≈ USD 3,666), or IDR 9,960,000 (≈ USD 611) each. Twelve pay IDR 69,750,000 (≈ USD 4,279), or IDR 5,810,000 (≈ USD 356) each.

Every cabin is ensuite, with air conditioning and a water heater. The Master Cabin has a king bed, a bathtub and a balcony, the balcony cabin has a queen bed, and two sharing cabins sleep four and three. Settle who gets which cabin before you arrive, because that argument is easier on land.

That's the shape of the choice. Bombana 1 for the big group and the lower price. Bombana 2 for the bathtub and the balcony, and for a group that fits in 13.

Four friends can fill Sharing Cabin 4 on Bombana 1 at IDR 2,950,000 (≈ USD 181) each. The whole boat for four costs IDR 39,000,000 (≈ USD 2,393), or IDR 9,750,000 (≈ USD 598) each. For a small group the open trip is the cheaper way to go, and the boat is shared with other guests.

The whole boat earns its price as the group grows. At 13 guests on Bombana 2 the figure is IDR 5,370,000 (≈ USD 329) a head, which you can set beside the private cabin at IDR 5,250,000 (≈ USD 322). At 15 on Bombana 1 it is IDR 3,000,000 (≈ USD 184).

So the question is not price alone. It is whether you want your own table, your own music and your own pace on day 2. If you do, the charter page has every band and length, and the comparison helps you pick the boat.

Bombana 1 and Bombana 2 each list a karaoke set. A canoe and a paddle board are listed on Bombana 2 only, and Bombana 1 lists neither. Say so to your group now, so nobody counts on a paddle board that isn't there.

On Bombana 1 the shared spaces are a sun deck with bean bags and a semi-outdoor dining area. On Bombana 2 you get a bow lounge with a long teak table under a canopy, an indoor dining table with windows on both sides, and a round tub (jacuzzi) at the bow.

Day 1 ends at Kalong at sunset, with dinner after. Day 2 is long and everyone is up before dawn for Padar. Karaoke is for the first evening. The 3-day route shows the rest.

The open trip leaves on Monday & Friday, and the next date is Friday, 6 November 2026. A whole boat is booked for dates agreed with you against the boat's calendar. A 50 percent deposit confirms either, and the balance follows 30 days before departure.

2027 is open too. The current rates apply until 2027 rates are published. If a rate changes before your balance is due, we tell you first and you can cancel at no cost.
